Nathalie Leclerc is currently a program coordinator with the Social Planning Council of Ottawa. She does social mapping, data analysis and liaises with community based organizations to assist with the identification of data and statistical research needs. She has also worked as a data analyst with la Communauté métropolitaine de Québec (la CMQ) and Acacia Consulting and Research on the Federation of Canadian Municipalities Quality of Life Reporting System Project. She was involved in the early consultation phase of the Canadian Council on Social Development Community Social Data Strategy, is currently an active member of the Geographical and Numeric Information Systems (GANIS). Nathalie is a firm believer that making neighbourhood socio-demographic data available to citizens and NGOs in easy to understand maps, charts, tables and text will improve decision making and stimulate community discourse on these topics. She also understands that these data are rendered more meaningful when combined with community generated data & information (e.g. homeless shelters, community health and resource centres, the city, etc.).
