In September of 2005, in a crazy fit of legal masochism, I filed a freedom of information request for my city's council boundaries in electronic format. The case was lost, with the NS Supreme Court judge ruling that shapefiles were not 'documents', but 'mechanisms' with which to produce documents.

Interests are in programming, usability and geography. I'd like to work on transit and politics.
