'Ontario Geospatial Data Exchange (OGDE)'is a geospatial data-sharing alliance created by the Governement of Ontario. Participation is 'not free and open to all'. It is exclusive to government authorities, educational institutions and Aboriginal and or first nations communities and some conservation authorities. Annual membership fees range from '$1000 (NGOs) to $50000 (Fed. Depts.)'. Data are shared between and among paying members. They are discovered via Ontario Land Information Directory (OLID) and are stored in the Ontario Land Information Warehouse (OLIW).'Ontario Council of University Librarians (OCUL)' is a consortium of twenty university libraries in Ontario who cooperate to enhance information services through resource sharing, collective purchasing, document delivery and many other similar activities. Their project list, data & information collections and plans are very impressive. 'Data access I assume is for students and professors' of member institutions but I would enquire! (p.s.
